As 2024 draws to a close, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Jeff Alden and Jordan Marsh to reflect on the successes of the past year and explore what’s ahead for SEE Services.
Q: Looking back at the past year, what were some of SEE Services’ key achievements?
Jeff: This year has been incredibly exciting and full of accomplishments for us. We’re especially proud of the advancements we’ve made in technology, including the launch of the SEE-V app and our ESG platform, which helps businesses manage and report their environmental, social, and governance performance.
We’ve also delivered an impressive range of projects that showcase the hard work and dedication of our team. Being named finalists in several industry awards has been a tremendous honour and a testament to the passion and expertise everyone at SEE Services brings to the table.
Q: Can you share more details about the projects SEE Services delivered this year?
Jordan: Absolutely! One of our standout projects has been a compliance testing initiative for KDM across 30 sites. This work involved testing water systems, installing new power supplies, and integrating energy-efficient appliances, such as coffee machines.
Sustainability has been a growing priority for many of our customers, and we expect this trend to continue beyond 2025. For example, LED lighting continue to be incredibly effective in reducing energy consumption. Following a successful pilot with the Royal Mail, we’re now rolling out a large-scale LED replacement project across 300 sites in the South East. Additionally, we’ve partnered with National Express and Future Energy Solutions (FEZ) to install LED lighting at 22 sites.
Solar PV installations have also been in high demand. We’ve expanded our partnership with South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) to include solar PV systems, rainwater harvesting, and upgraded heating solutions at multiple locations. We’re also proud to be working on a solar power initiative for a residential care home group, which will enhance sustainability and significantly reduce energy costs.
Q: That’s an impressive portfolio of projects! What progress has SEE-V made in the EV charging space?
Jeff: It’s been an incredible year for SEE-V, our dedicated EV charging division. We’ve powered up a significant number of new EV chargers across the UK, making it easier than ever for drivers to charge their vehicles.
One of our biggest achievements this year has been the launch of the SEE-V app, now available on both the App Store and Google Play. The app simplifies the charging process for drivers, offering a seamless, user-friendly experience. Meanwhile, our back-office platform provides advanced features to help customers optimise the efficiency of their EV charging networks.
Q: Looking ahead, what do you think will be your areas of focus?
Jordan: As we look to the year ahead, we’re mindful that customers remain cautious about spending. However, this is where we believe our cost-effective strategies truly stand out.
Our focus will continue to be on delivering high-value, budget-friendly solutions that help clients save on costs. Whether that’s through energy-efficient lighting or the integration of renewable energy solutions, we’re committed to providing clients with smart, affordable strategies that make both financial and environmental sense.
Q: What excites you most about the future?
Jeff: What excites us most is the growing demand for sustainable solutions. With increasing awareness of climate change and corporate responsibility, businesses are more committed than ever to enhancing their sustainability practices.
This creates a huge opportunity for us to help companies meet their goals—whether that’s reducing their carbon footprint, electrifying their fleet, saving on energy costs, or implementing new sustainable technologies. We’re passionate about innovation and finding practical ways to address the complexities of sustainability while delivering measurable results.
And as for 2025—let’s just say we have some exciting developments on the horizon that I can’t reveal just yet. Watch this space!
